School Wide Groups

Site Based Decision Making Team (SBDM)

The SBDM Team generally meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 3:05-4:05 in the Schafer Park library.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA  meets on the third Thursday of every month from 8:30 am or 5:30pm. Check the calendar for more information

School Site Council (SSC)

The SSC develops the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and makes decisions regarding the use of categorical funds.

SSC meets on the first Monday of the month from 3:10-4:40 in the Schafer Park office conference room. 

English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

The ELAC generally meets on the last Friday of the month from 8:30-10:00 in the YEP room.  Please see the school calendar for specific dates.

AASAI

African American Student Achievement Initiative

 AASAI meets once a month on the 3rd Thursday of the month (unless otherwise noted) at 6:00.  

Community School 

A community school is any school serving pre-Kindergarten through high school
students using a “whole-child” approach, with “an integrated focus on academics,
health and social services, youth and community development, and community
engagement.”1 As a school improvement strategy, community school initiatives
enable the local education agency (LEA) and school to work closely with
educators, students, and families to understand and address the unique needs,
assets, and aspirations of the school community.

Community Schools team meets once a month on Wednesdays after school in room 34.
